I bought a TV licence when I purchased aTV set about two years or so ago.
I sent the set to Zimbabwe. I bought two more afterwards and sent them to Zimbabwe.
I paid renewed the TV licence on the first expiry. The second one I have not paid since the Lawyer/Agent from KMI is so disrespectful and at one point she hung the phone on me after phoning to inquire.
Why should I pay for a TV licence in South Africa when I am paying for a TV licence for the same TV in Zimbabwe.
Instead today she calls and even declared that she will keep penalizing that account. I am willing to renew if there is a clear explanation why. I do not own a television set in South Africa since I stay at a kin's dwelling.
It seems thats why people evade paying in the first place. In my opinion this agent is the reason SABC is losing revenue.
She should not be in the client service department.
