Department of Home Affairs - Dha lost birth records

I applied for an unabridged certificate for my son 21st June 2023 for migration purposes. Not only was the application only processed 21 days subsequent to me visiting the branch, after many months of me doing endless follow ups, I was informed that the birth records were lost. December 2023 I visited the branch again to complete the needed for DHA to issue new, but those documents also left the branch weeks after completion and now seem to be misplaced. It's now almost a year ago that I applied and many missed job opportunties abroad, because we cannot emigrate without our son obviously. I have looped in the National Coordinator whom then delegated, but I am still left in the dark. I provided the waybill details of the parcel to them to investigate what had happened to the parcel, but no response now. I am now having to pay the price for DHA's incompetence and don't even get me started on the call centre that has limited access and absolutely zero authority to escalate. It's as if the department is lawless and everybody just does what they want. Bugger the people because there is nothing that anybody can do, that is the evident!
