During the month of July 2023, someone apparently upgraded my prepaid data contract fraudulently. I discovered when I received an sms to notify me about a imminent debit order. I further noticed that an unlawful debit order had went off against my bank account at the beginning of August. I called Vodacom customer service on two occasions before I could be given a fraud dispute number- 0825377877. I was advised to write an email to
[email protected], which I sent on 28 August. From there I never received any form of acknowledgement of my email. On the 3rd of September I called the above number again. The lady who answered my call told me that she couldn't assist me without a reference number. She insisted that I should resent the complaint, which is in a form of an affidavit and ID copy in order for an automated reference to be generated. I did that. Still no reference came in, including in my spam box since I was advised to check it as well. She then gave me a number- 0822432082- to contact. When I did, I fell into an automated voice, which made me to lose hope. Worst of all, when I was given this number, the same lady just read it through in lightning speed without even cautioning me that she was about to read a number to me. I had to plead with her to repeat it slowly, also buying time to take another phone so I could type it. I further noticed that I no longer receive the data that is due to me as per my prepaid contract. On the other side I have to call charged calls to get my matter solved. On September 01, an amount of R947, 31 went from my Bank account. To reverse it, I am gonna be charged by the bank. Another amount of over R500 went of from my bank account on August 01. May you please assist me to get vodacom to restore my Prepaid Contract and stop these unlawful debit order since I am not getting a sense that these consultants are willing to go an extra mile to assist me. Having an amount of almost R1000 going of is an inconvenience. They kind of consultants that I encountered are unlike Vodacom. In past one used to deal with very passionate people who would do all in their power to solve matters. Please help.
