My contract with my employer started in August of 2016 and my contract ended with my Employer on 10 March 2022. I logged a claim with the UIF office on 12 August 2022 and my claim has been sent to the assessor on 12 August 2022. My instruction was to do a Continuation of benefits, which I did, and it was sent to the Paymaster on 29 September 2022. I have as yet not been paid or contacted. I call the UIF Contact Center on a weekly basis, but my claim only gets escalated with no positive result.
Friday, 5 January 2023, I drove to your Somerset West office in the Western Cape as it is my nearest UIF office (120km away), but they were unable to help me as the line already had 246 people waiting. Whenever I call and ask to speak to a Supervisor, Team Leader or Manager, I either get put on hold until the call dies, or I get told they are in a meeting. They have been in a meeting for 4 months...
