I am currently waiting on my uif payout. I only received one payment in July 2021 after I applied in January 2021. Every month I submit a continuation of benefits and receive the sms to state payment will be processed in 5 working days but never receive anything. I do countless queries and is advised it will be escalated. Six months later, I am still waiting on feedback or a payment. This is pathetic service.
I am so sick and tired of hearing how patient I must be. Six months is patient enough. I am unemployed. I was retrenched in 2020 but must follow up and query why my payments are not paid into my bank account.
I sent countless complaints to their complaints department and received confirmation emails to say that it is escalated. To this date, I am told to be patient. How many escalations must one go through to get paid. I contributed to this fund and claimed because of what the hard lockdown in 2020 did to a company that has been in existence for 90 years in this country.
This is the most disgusting service I ever experienced. Will I receive my payout or will my money go to the R350 grant recipients, who never contributed to the fund?
