I applied for maternity benefits in January. I have now been sitting without a salary for two months. UIF contact center keep telling me documents are with assessor. And the query has been escalated I must phone again in two days. Two days later same story. Every month I have to pay a percentage of my salary to uif come what may with no excuses, but now that I need help from them no one can give a * FORBIDDEN * about the support. How is it fair that we have to pay them but they don't support us when needed? Uif is just ripping people off. Very disappointed in the service and feedback I have received from uif and don't know why I should pay them every month
