My application for maternity benefits was submitted last year in March and completed by an assessor on 8 June 2021.

I have called and followed up numerous times with regards to the outcome of my application and to date I have received NO RESPONSE as to the outcome nor any PAYMENT.

I have submitted all the relevant documents required of me. I have called the UIF contact centre countless times and every time I get told that the matter will be escalated as everything has been captured and it must just get finalised.

I am at wits end and in absolute disbelief that a maternity claim can take over a year to be finalised.
