I had went to Soweto DOL branch 28/03/2022 to put a claim for UIF and they captured my application and advised that all my documents are submitted, I was assisted by a consultant or administration staff called Ruth (Female). Ruth advised that I should come back at the end of a month of April to sign a form for benefit continuation and my payment will be made within 15 days.
On the 14 April 2022 I went back to query why I didn't receive a payment, and I was attended by a male administration employee by a name Mr Lucky Masindi and he advised that I must go to a bank for them to sign my bank form. I went to a bank and brought back a form together with a continuation of benefits form, that I had already submitted on 28 March 2022.
Lucky advised that I should be getting a payment in the next 3-7 working days. And a payment did not come. I went back to a branch on 14 April 2022. And Lucky told me another story. I had been tracking my application on U-filing and since I did started a process there was no update on the status of my application, It was only stating that it was sent to an assessor.
I had sent several emails to Lucky Masindi and he never replied. On 30 April 2022, I had used U-filing to make an application for continuation of benefits and a status changed to sent to a paymaster.
My complaint is about poor service I had received from a branch since even now I had not received a payment and there is no clear or solid reasons for a delay of payment.
