I am lodging my complaint regarding the ridiculous waiting pwriod we are now forced to wait for a payout of funds. I am an unemployed simgle motger of 2 children, who has received 3 payments from the UIF thus far. I signed on 30th August 2022 for the fourth payment and have not received any money thus far. I spoke to the UIF call centre on Friday 9 September 2022 and was advised to go to the UIF Centre the Monday to query why the funds were not paid as yet. I went in this morning 12 September 2022 to query why i have not received my payment as yet and was told that i technically can only query this on the 19th September 2022 as i must wait 14 working days for the funds to be paid out and if nothing is paid by then they can take the matter further on my behalf. My previous 3 payments was deposited in my banking account between 3 - 5 days after signing took place and now i cannot query anything before 14 working day. The irony being that i am an unemployed person who has bills and responsobilities to see to and now currently have no funds and is now made to wait ridiculous waiting periods for my funds. Funds which was deducted from my previous salary every month before i received my payment in the bank, now i am to struggle getting my money after signing for it. I have commitments, bills, rent, children that needs daily meals and i am running on empty. I have not had any success with employment thus far, so what am i meant to do until such a time that the UIF actually will be paying the money due to me? They have these stringent checks they want to do on your finances yet take forever to pay you when they dont find anything. I have been borrowing money and will end up paying back everyone and sit with no cash
