I found an employee at the Walmer branch to be terribly condescending. Unfortunately I don't know what her name is, however she's Afrikaans speaking. She phoned me the day before asking when I'll be collecting my parcel and made it known in an unpolite manner that I need to fetch it soon. Yes I am aware of the time of year and completely understand that we're all under pressure, but unfortunately you can't treat clients with disrespect. To no fault of my own, a collection text/notification was not sent to me and I had no idea that my parcel had arrived. (Not the first time this has happened) When I walked in and provided my name, she asked for my collection details which I obviously hadn't received. She then proceeded to tell me that I have received it???
Coincidently I received a Pudo pin while I was in the office, for another parcel collection. After sorting out the first parcel, being treated like an ignorant child, I headed to the Pudo lockers which then stated my pin was invalid. I then phoned Pudo and the assistant (who was lovely) mentioned that the pin had expired and I had to go back into the Walmer Courier Guy to collect the parcel which would be dropped off. This employee made me feel absolutely useless when all of this was not my fault, and I was made to feel like I should know the ropes when everything had failed from her side. Terrible attitude. (Thankfully she was aware that I received a Pudo pin while there otherwise I would've been accused of the same thing again) She questioned me being there again, and said there's nothing she can do from her side, which was the biggest load of nonsense. Yes, we all have to deal with incompetent customers/clients along the way, but there should be some sort of professionalism when it comes to having tact. She's supposed to be the expert in this specific field and that's why she is employed by you. If she finds it too frustrating to deal with the companies errors, don't expect the customer to know the ropes, and treat us like we've got nothing between the ears.
To insist that I have received a text for collection when I haven't. And to get told 'you can go now' How about-"Thanks ma'am, that's all that is needed.Have a lovely day' I actually felt too nervous to go back and query when the Pudo locker wasn't working. It's an absolute shame.
When I returned yesterday afternoon to collect the second parcel, a lovely African lady assisted me, and man, was she divine!
