Kindly investigate this matter and rectify the mess before my next debit order.
On March 31st i visited your store to activate the 80G special. I explained to the hosts at the door that i had 2 subscriptions, wanted one cancelled and the other converted to the 80G special. The guy told me i should request an upgrade. Took me to a lady at teller 5, i believe. I requested an upgrade and she asked me who told me to request an upgrade and i told her.
I was super happy with the service I received store, although "the upgrade" forever the lady was very friendly. She told me i would need to pay a R99 activation fee. During the conversation she told me Telkom is sneaky off late and has changed the terms i must not be surprised if i want to cancel my subscription i am told i have a 24 month contract. She gave me another sim card.
I checked my statement i thought a mistake had been made because i was expecting 1 subscription, a R248 bill (R149 plus the upgrade activation fee of R99) instead my bill is R347. Instead of processing an upgrade as requested she opened a new subscription without my knowledge. This is fraud. I am no longer employed however she used my previous employment information to create another contract.
I walked away a happy customer not realising i had been scammed. My guess is she earns some type of incentive for signing up new subscriptions and that is why she did this despicable thing. All i want is 1 SIM card, the 80G subscription at R149. Thank you.
