September statement received - R1,420.00 was due on 30 September 2022. 30 September 2022 - Telkom decides not to debit my account despite my debit order agreement being end of month. 14 October 2022 - Instead of Telkom debiting the R1 420 that they were supposed to debit 2 weeks before, they now decide to debit R2 858.01 - no warning, no explanation whatsoever. This is after the sent the October statement due on 31 OCTOBER 2022 of the same amount. When I call their customer support, the person assisting me claims "she doesn't know why collection debited this amount" to my shock & horror. Because my account had insufficient funds, the R2 858.01 was reversed. Because Telkom are bullies, my services were suspended(wifi not working, phones not working). I was then forced to make the R2 828.01 payment via the app using my card on 22 October 2022. Telkom confirmed that my account will be removed from collection & that it was up to date. My services were then restored a few hours later. 3 days later on 25 Oct 2022 Telkom again debited R1 429.01. Why is Telkom treating it's paying customers like this. Why should we be treated like this? Now I'm even scared on 31 October 2022 the bullies are going to debit my account yet again.
