I ordered and paid on 1 December 2022. I received a message stating that due to the holidays delivery could take longer, I accept that and was prepared to wait. Takelot then said that delivery would take place on Thursday 8 December 2022. On around the 6th or 7th I noticed that the date had changed to 9 December 2022, that is today. I also received a text this morning stating that my order is out for delivery. I put in a days unpaid leave and waited. By 16:15, I became concerned and then called Takealot Cape Town. I was informed that my order has not yet been dispatched. Why then send a text stating delivery is happening today. Now I have wasted a day...unpaid leave. Is Takealot going to refund my time and or money for the unpaid leave day to me? Now I will need to take another days leave at some time but I wont know if Takealot will honor the delivery date or will it be another colossal waste of both my time and my money. Takealot do the correct thing and keep your customers properly updated TIMEIOUSLY
So it seems as if this is the Takealot way. You get texts saying that your item is out for delivery. You stay at home and no delivery and no warning neither any apology. The next day you receive the same text and then it gets delivered whilst you not at home. It then gets taken to a neighbor. Not the ideal situation but the Takelot method
