Purchased a Nasca Automotive Spray Paint Mirror Chrome 300ml fullfulled through Takealot, the supplier being CSP Automotive. Product was defective and not as advertised and the TAL/Supplier return policy changed AFTER I purchased the product - so could not return it. Wrote a 1 star review, which was rejected as not following the guidelines. Deleted that review and wrote a second review following the guidelines to the tee, as follows:
Title: Terrible, not chrome at all and faulty nozzle
Rated 1 for two reasons: 1) It's NOT Mirror Chrome at all, not even silver; more like light grey. 2) The inner nozzle part does not work properly, so there is no fine mist of spray that is released. After trying to spray a single line, the internal nozzle is jammed and utterly useless, so a wasted can of paint. Cleaning the nozzle with thinners does not help, as it's the mechanism itself that does not work.
Review again rejected on 3 May with the following note:
Rejection Reasons
1. The review is false or misleading.
2. Thank you for informing us about the inaccurate product description. However, your review needs to be related to your product experience.
3. Thank you for informing us that the wrong variant was delivered. However, your review needs to be related to your product experience.
SO:
1. What is false or misleading??? The product looked the same as what was advertised, but it was not Mirror Chrome, not even close - in my view the supplier is false and misleading, not my review of the product received!
2. It is not an incorrect product description that needs fixing - the Supplier is advertising and selling a product that is NOT what they are advertising! Simple. Don't advertise a Mirror Chrome spray paint colour with a Mirror Chrome cap, then package light grey spray paint as the content with a Mirror Chrome cap... in short, my experience with the PRODUCT was that is was not as advertised by the Supplier!
3. The wrong variant was not delivered at all - the product that was advertised and received was not what they advertised, and it was faulty, so I could not use it at all. Given that the return policy was changed AFTER I purchased simply meant that I could not return the product.
Finally, writing a review should highlight to other potential buyers that 1) the supplier seems to not supply the advertised product, and 2) alert potential buyers that the product is faulty. I don't want a refund, I want to alert potential buyers, hence an honest product review.
I would like Takealot to advise WHAT is actually false, misleading or other with the above review, and why they protect the product suppliers that use their platform? Surely if a product is not up to standard, both Takealot, the Supplier and potential buyers should be aware of the experience?
