I ordered around R7000 worth of product on Sunday. The only shipping available was for Tuesday, and I was charged R200. I got notice on Monday that the order would be delivered on Tuesday. I got notice on Tuesday the order would be delivered before 5pm. I asked the guard to keep a lookout for me for Takealot delivery. At 5:05pm I got an SMS indicating they were unable to get hold of me so would reschedule the delivery. I asked the guard if there had been any Takealot deliveries, and he said no. Keep in mind he was explicitly looking out for them.
So Takealot could not deliver due to their own inept planning, but try to cover by saying I was not available.
