I bought a Philips Airfryer through Takealot for R3 000 in April 2021. I hardly used it more than once a week. I started noticing the inside of the Airfryer starting to peel. I lodged a return with Takealot after my unit was fetched at my home. After almost a month, they let me knew the suppliers decided my warranty was void and that the peeling was because of normal wear and tear. That is exactly why I did not buy a much cheaper brand, I wanted something that will last and not start to peel after a few months of use. I never used utensils with sharp edges to clean the unit (also you can see it is peeling and not scratches.) After numerous calls to the call centre and even the Philip supplier, just to be told the matter will be escalated, the unit was dropped at my house, unannounced. It is so frustrating that you can't speak to a manager, all the people at the call centre promises to phone you back, but never does. Not sure what to do next.
