I am incredibly disappointed with Takealot's delivery partner as well customer service department.
I made a payment arrangement and selection to receive 'fast delivery' of my washing machine on Friday, 2 August 2024. In anticipation of the delivery of the washing machine, I took leave from work. The delivery of the washing machice was scheduled to take place between 8am and 7pm on Friday, 2 August 2024.
I waited until such time without any communication from Takelot as well their delivery partner. The customer service delivery phone lines have been going answered from 31 July 2024. All attempts to try get ahold of a consultant from Takealot have been in vain.
Further, Takealot and/or their delivery partner unilaterally changed the date of the delivery to
Saturday, 3 August 2024 between 8-5pm (a date which I was unavailable), citing "courier delay" as a reason.
On Saturday, 3 August 2024, I received a call from their delivery partner asking of my availability, I then advised that I am not around and would be available at 12 midday on the same day, as I had left the area due to a personal commitment. The delivery partner blamed their colleague for the non-delivery of my washing machine on Friday, 2 August 2024 and could not even indulge my request to receive delivery at 12:00 on Saturday, 3 August 2024 and rudely hung up.
I am still without receipt of my washing machine and have been forced to reschedule delivery to a later date, despite having paid the special fee to receive "fast delivery".
This has been the worst experience Takealot has offered me to date.
I am honestly disheartened from using their Takealot's services for the near future.
