On the 6th of October 2023 I sent my sister to do a money transfer at Shoprite Sam Ntuli Mall but unfortunately the slip got damaged and today morning she went back to the store to ask for assistance in getting the numbers again.When she arrived at Shoprite she told the security at the front door about the issue and the security lady could not assist her,instead she rudely said, "is there something like that because I've never heard of it before" instead of telling her the process she should follow in getting the numbers.She then asked another lady to write the number for her and then gave them to my sister "to dial",no instruction or explanation was given. I had to wake up and go back to the store with my sister as I was home sick and spent another money to go back to the store,I asked for the manager to the lady and the security guard I found and they said I should firstly pass the issue by them before they can call the manager for me and so I did.They then told me that it's the only way to get the number again.When we were leaving my sister told me that the lady who did not want to assist her is back at the front as she wasn't when we arrived,I went back to her to look for her name and surname and to my surprise her name tag was put the other way hiding her name and surname,very unprofessional again,I then greeted her and asked for her name and surname,I doubt that she gave me the correct information given the attitude she had when she was answering me.
My question now is,is it how the customers should be treated in Shoprite?As a customer,I don't know the processes of rectifying issues and when I go to the store I believe that the employee that assists me should give me all the information in rectifying the issue I have as a customer instead of being given attitude and treated like a nobody.I am not happy,we have been Shoprite customers for as long as I can remember but after today,I am never going to Shoprite Sam Ntuli Mall again thanks to your employee!
