I'm writing with great disgust, and horrific experience about my stay at Road lodge umhlanga Ridge Durban .
It was my 19th wedding anniversary , suppose to be an happy experience and family holiday, which turned bad.
We checked in on the 01/04/22- 04/04/22.
We experienced the following difficulties.
1) checked into room 208, we found cockroaches running around the room and couch bed, called reception we were moved to room 202, unacceptable conditions.
2) Room 202 , beds were made, we climbed in after taking a shower , only to find the sheets messed , from a couple having sex and sheets not being changed . My family had to endure the disgust and humiliation of sleeping on someone's mess. There were black ants crawling all over the furniture,bitting my wife and child on the bed ,notified management immediately, we were moved to room 140. Unacceptable.
3 ) Room 140 , black ants again. Unacceptable
We are In covid conditions , and health protocols needs to be followed , having an establishment like a lodge and bad health condition is total unacceptable.
Should the department of health be notified, Road lodge will be closed down . I'm considering contacting the media with the pics and videos as proof to unacceptable standards at this establishment.
I need to know how u are going to compensate me for this horrific experience, and spoiling our holiday, and happy occasion. My wife , child and I had never experienced anything like this in our life , for years of traveling and living in different hotels and lodges .there's no words that can express our disappointment.
Should I not hear from you within 3 days , I will be taking further action against Road Lodge umhlanga Ridge.
Very disappointed.

I have submitted a complaint 2 weeks ago, still haven't received any form off notifications or response from Road Lodge . Unacceptable indeed ,
