Pep Stores - Bad attitude from a cashier

There is nothing worse than receiving a bad service from a fellow black worker. .I have been dealt with very poorly by one of your store assistants, the customer service is so bad in fact that I felt it was worthy of this complaint. I am made to feel that I am getting in her way, The experience I had on Monday the 19th June 2023 is uncalled for. I went to pep Johannesburg since it's closeby to my workplace and needed to send parcels via paxi and as we queued with other customers the 2 cashiers on shift seems like people who were annoyed to see us as customers no greeting or show of willingness to assist. Upon getting the slip and the packet to send my parcel I sealed but it looked like the glue on it was not strong enough and left a tiny space open even though the package was not even full. I then took the parcel to the cashier and she rudely said it's open we can't courier this and roughly threw the parcel down having a chat with a colleague and leaving me like that, I then asked isn't anyway I can get assistance to close it but she responded NO beside buying another packet or you can take it home with you and make a plan to seal it to my surprise getting such a response because this was not the first time sending parcels via pep.





As there was que, she then called another customer and I had to leave as she ordered.

The main concern I have mostly here is the manner and the tone the cashier used when speaking to me. You could see that she was so impatient with serving me and it was like I was bothering her.

I feel that management should address this poor attitude as soon as possible. As a customer, I do not feel that I am wanted and could easily look for other courier method that other stores provide. It may be worth reminding the cashier Lindelani and colleague whom I didn’t see her name that every customer who enters the store is important.
