I am truly shocked by the lack of customer service and support given by Mr Price, especially when it comes to a case of an individuals identity being fraudulently used to open an account at their store.
It has been nearly 3 months since I reported the case (24th of October 2022) and submitted all the documents that Mr Price asked for, and to date, I received an initial e-mail confirming that they received the documents, and when I followed up a month later, I was once again asked to submit the documents (clearly an automated or "copy and paste" response without checking the system).
I have e-mailed Mr Price on multiple occasions, and received no update or response since the 5th of December. I have called Mr Price's customer care hotline, and all they can tell me is that they will e-mail and escalate the matter, but there is no number for the fraud department, and they can only e-mail the generic
[email protected] account that I am not getting any responses from.
I have asked the customer support who I can escalate the matter to, another e-mail address or a supervisor or senior, and the only response I get is that there is nothing more they can do.
How is it possible that a national brand has a fraud department with no hotline? No process for escalating poor customer support ? And absolutely 0 regard for innocent individuals who are victim to what is more than likely a dismal lack of controls in their account approving process!
Please can someone from Mr Price Group contact me and resolve this matter, as my only avenues for recourse are now legal action and taking to social media.
