An amount of R598. 00 was first deducted from my account on the 24 June 2023 by metropolitan. I then phoned Metropolitan customer care to inform them about the money taken from my account without my concernt and explained that I did not have a policy with them I was told that I should send an email to
[email protected] with my bank statement, I'd coipy an avidavit from the police station. I send all that information on the 26 of June 2023. I never had any response from them until I called them again 3 weeks later to check on the progress of my complain and was told that their forensic department is still busy with my case. I specifically asked that no deductions should be done on my account and they must cancel the policy they say I have with them. On the 21st of July they tried to debit my account and the transaction was unsuccessful and I had to pay a R150.00 penalty fee and they deducted again on the 25th of July 2023 R598. 00. On the 26 I also tried to reach them on their whattup line that did help me either.
