Makro - No wonder makro is losing clients at makro carnival!!!

I bought a JEFFERSON SPRING TECH BONDED H/B CHAIR on Saturday from Makro Carnival. I tried out the demo unit and it felt right. When I got home and assembled it, I realised that it was too high. I went back to the store and did a measurement of what was sold versus what was demo' d. The difference was 3cm and the salesperson told me that I could return it. While demoing the chair, I said to the salesperson numerous times that I was worried about the fact that the chair could not go down further. he told me I could return it. Today, I drove back for a third time and the manager Vincent Mfeka told me he cannot return it because I used it. After trying to explain that the demo was over used hence it felt right, he still insisted on not doing anything about it to satisfy his customer. Why do organisations like Makro still operate in this manner is beyond me. They have just lost me as a client.
