Goodday,

We are writing you this letter for we are very very unhappy with Safair. So unhappy and disgusted, that we would seriously consider never flying with Safair in the future and would definitely not recommend this airline to anyone we know or hear of.

We had flights booked on the 22nd of August 2023 to fly back from Mauritius to O.R. Tambo Airport at 16:15 (Mauritius time)
Our booking reference number was EIDTZS and the flight number: FA-851

Once boarded, we waited a long time for our food. It finally came.

After 2 hours on the flight and numerous requests from passengers, the trolley finally arrived. At the time everybody was anxious and disgusted at the same time but was willing to order.

To our amazement, disgust and total disappointment, we could not even order a drink. The answer giving to us was that from the 1st of August 2023 Safair appointed a new catering company, but they don't have a liquor license as yet. Can you believe it!!!! How can such a huge airline appoint a catering company without a liquor license.

Most passengers were so displeased and could not believe this, however that tried to order other refreshments as per flyer. That was even worse. There was hardly any refreshments on the trolley except coffee and tea.

Passengers tried to order for example Lipton Ice tea and other refreshments and most of the time that had to choose something else instead, there just wasn't any or not enough of anything. The drawers of the trolley were basically empty. A simple thing like Chips and Bottles of water was rare. The flight attendants was running around between the front and the back to search for cooldrinks, chips and water.

Halfway with the trolley after so many questions from passengers the flight attendants even got fed up and returned without going further down the line.

Needless to say the trolley never returned again.

My husband even made a joke saying, we hope the pilot has got a licence to fly the plane.

The whole situation and flight was sickening to watch.

What is happening to this airline!!!! We demand answers. We paid a very generous price for our tickets to receive this kind of service!

What is happening to SA, the Airlines and our people.

We are fast becoming the laughing stock of the WORLD!
