I took out a FNB funeral policy last year and included my cousin. My cousin was shot dead and I then tried to claim, to my surprise my claim was declined. After submitting all the relevant documents, FNB then found a reason not to pay. I want all my premiums back and thank you for wasting my time. When we take up these policies with you, you don't mention all these t&c. But when it's time to pay you find all and any excuse under the sun. I am left feeling like I have just been scammed.
I then requested the recording of when I took up the policy, the agent I spoke to never said anything about claims will be declined if a member is shot.
