DSTV contacted me 4 months ago, with a promotion of adding Disney + to my current full bouquet. it was done with the "carrot" of signing a 24-month contract, however reducing the monthly subscription to R713.00.
four months later i am threatened that my DSTV will be switch off unless I immediately pay an extra R189,86.
Communication with their control Centre was a disaster.
The first consultant said the said the increase is due to me using the PVR recording function. requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was informed to wait for 30 seconds. 10 minutes later I hang up and phoned again.
The second person, was a bit more knowable, however wanted to increase my subscription, for signing up for the Disney plus 24-month contract.
eventually he said he will escalate my complaint and would call me back. he would also send and SMS and personal information. NO RESPONS OR SMS.
please do not fall into the DSTV trap of excepting their promotions, as it will come back and haunt you
With escalations, I have never received a call back and always had to follow up myself.
They are very reluctant to give reference numbers
