It is with a sad heart that today I find my self writing this email. I regret the decision I made when I called and ask for a quotation on dstv Internet, today I have to call day in and day out without getting help and I spent money when making those call, This is what happend
I was on price lock, I have 2 pvr decoder and showmax and extra view since I have 2 decoder and I was paying less than R500, Around June - July I called and asked how much will I be charged when I add dstv Internet package I was told R609 I agreed and I remember telling the consultant to never change my package. After I have received the decoder I realized that I can not catch-up, rewind, and I could not view showmax, I called to found out is happening only to discover that this function were removed on my package without my consent. When I ask who permission to remove this function I could not get an answer when I requested for the recording of that sales conversation I was told I must go to the nearest dstv to listen to it. Then I asked them to reconnect then the price went up and I asked them to take out showmax because now I won't be able to afford it. In that incident I think I was mis sold the product and me as a client I was deprived the opportunity to make an informed decision.
If I knew that taking this package will mean I won't have other function or I will have to pay extra I wouldn't have taken it but now I am stuck in a 24 months contract that I was mis sold to top it off, my problems continued till today. After I have settled with not having a showmax and me not wanting to make it a huge I settled with R609 packages without showmax the following month I received an sms that says my next installment it will be R1400 if I'm not mistaken I called in and ask how come now I expected to pay R1400 the lady that assisted me she explained to me that they forgot to put discount and she will ask for reversal and send the email to accounts department to fix it and I can reverse this transaction and pay manually. I did that but now my internet nightmare dstv is no longer working it only works at night . I've been calling day in and day out I'm being told one story it has been escalated and they will get back to me and no one came back to me. I even spoke to Sibu Sokulo who said he is the team leader he also promised to get back to me its been over a week now, yesterday one consultant on his team promised that he will ask him to call me nothing, another consultant promised to cc me on that escalation but I have never received any email
My request is to fix this issue because it's not fare for me to pay for services that I don't receive. If it can't be resolved please let me know which futher steps I can take to get this issue resolved
Hoping that this time I will get a response as soon as possible because this issue has been dragging for far to long thank you
