I bought a tv at beares store wynberg back in June 2022. 3 months later i started to get calls and text messages from the collections department from the tv licence office that im behind eith my tv licence and it was never paid. I tgen called and messaged phumeza at the wynber branch to assist me and asking her how can i be handed over to collections when i only bought the tv 3 months back .she told me that its an error on the SABC side..n she kept telling me this story .i then called the tv licence office and was advised thst no payments was received as i have explained to them its my first time im having a tv licence n bought a tv .they asked me then to sent proof that the tv licence was paid . I then contacted beares after several times trying to get this resolved and begging for a manager call back. I kept being lied to saying the manager will call me and that the proof of payment will be sent ..its been lies after lies..i then sent a msge said i want a mander call back again after so many times. Then a clerk by the name of chantel picked up which i have spoken to n she couldnt resolved my query. I asked her to hand the call over to the branch manager Mushfeeka after i have explained to her everything thst happened the incompetence, the poor customer service she promised to call me and get this resolved as she as the manager confirmed this was only brought to her attention few minutes before my call.which is ridiculous. I am still waiting for my query to b resolved n mushfeeka to give me a call. I now received text messages saying im handed over to the credit beuru i want my wuery to be resolved..or this will escalate to an ombudman case as my credit is being affect due to incompetence and negligence.
